CIMA2015 have two workshops about safety taught by Luichy canyoning Beardo, Joan Lluís Haro and Laura Samso, which will be held on 27 and 28 March.
WORKSHOP 1
SAFE ACTIONS IN CANYONING I: Direct and indirect prevention canyoning.
Canyoning is an activity boom, now consolidated, which encompasses several disciplines, this gives a multidisciplinary and aerobic nature and causes an index of prevention and preparedness activities with multiple variables. One of the processes for consolidated socialization activity is the claim to be a “safe” activity part of this process is in direct and indirect prevention activity.
What are these processes? What do we mean by indirect prevention? What do we mean by direct prevention?
Indirect Prevention: Encompasses all preparatory work that serve to minimize the risks that we have once we are in the process of the activity itself, INDIRECT call them. This phase will consist of the following:
- PLANNING and LOGISTICS (Information descent, Hydrology, Temporality, group, geological parameters, Commitment, Meteorology, Transportation, organize travel, maps and reviews, Material and Health’ll need this, Food, Clothing and footwear, Notice) .
- TRAINING (physical, mental, tactical and technical)
Direct prevention: This includes all actions taken during the activity, as we approach and how we should act to minimize the ongoing risks or risk management errors (error handling on the canyoning.)
WORKSHOP 2.
SAFE ACTIONS IN CANYONING II: Management errors in canyoning.
As canyoning we are subject to a number of risks that have to be very present.
Any human activity entails some risks. Will recognize that the activity can be done with the maximum guarantees. Be aware that everything and analyzing, meeting requirements, we are at risk of an incident / accident.
In this workshop we will study the causes of incidents / accidents and their prevention, all those tips risk management and prevention will allow significantly reduce their risks and perform the activity with maximum guarantees.
